McKinney Creations is a family owned (father and son) business. The business is located in the mountains of North Carolina. It is a place where fine hardwood home accessories are designed, engineered and constructed with beautiful Appalachian hardwoods. Each piece begins its journey as it enters the shop as a piece of rough lumber that has been harvested from the Appalachian Mountains. The artists then takes the lumber and begins to plane it to reveal all the characterization in each piece before the decision is made as to the outcome for the pieces of lumber.

    Most of the pieces that are created at McKinney Creations are hand-turned on a lathe or carved by the artists. Each delicately designed and created piece is a sturdy treasure that is built with pride and will become a heirloom for the family that chooses the creation that speaks for their family. The pieces are designed to be used and admired for generations to come. Each piece that has been created is unique and no two pieces are identical.
